Aim of the course
This Learning Unit supports teachers in designing inclusive STEM learning experiences through Environment-Based Learning (EBL). It explores how environmental challenges can provide accessible and meaningful learning opportunities for students with diverse abilities, backgrounds and learning needs. Teachers will learn how to apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL), differentiation, inquiry and collaborative approaches to increase participation and engagement. Through practical ECOTEACH examples, the Unit demonstrates how flexible learning pathways, roles and forms of expression can support disadvantaged and underrepresented learners while maintaining meaningful STEM learning for all.
